The caddie experience at Troon North GC is exceptional! Whether you are a first-time visitor to the property or a repeat guest, a caddie will help you get around the course in a more enjoyable fashion. Locating your golf balls, providing yardages, maintaining the course for you (raking bunkers/replacing divots), and reading putts among other things, a caddie quite significantly enhances the golf experience.

At Troon North GC we have two caddie options for you to choose from; a forecaddie (the most common option) and a walking caddie, for an even more unique experience.

Description of a forecaddie: Forecaddies are generally assigned one per foursome of golfers but are also utilized on a 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 basis. A Forecaddie will position himself in front of the golfers to assist with shot/club selection, pace of play, and many other services.

Forecaddies - November 1st, 2012 - April 30th, 2013:

Provide all players with strategies for each golf hole
Locate errant shots
Provide accurate yardage and assist with club selection
Maintain the course and your equipment
Ensure no clubs are left behind and allow you to walk if you so
choose
Assist with reading putts
Tell stories and facts about the course, people, and / or
tournaments

Description of a walking caddie: A walking caddie will allow you to see and experience each hole with greater enjoyment. Driving a golf cart on the cart path can often detract from the visual enjoyment of the hole as they are positioned on the fringes of the hole. Walking caddies do so much more than just carry your bag...

(*The recommended gratuity is $20 per person and up, depending on the quality of service)

All caddies must be reserved a minimum of 48 hours in advance of play

Troon North Golf Club has created an executive 9-hole golf course called Monument Express. The course measures to more than 1,500 yards and offers two different PAR options based on each player’s experience and ability. The course can be played quickly due to its length and can be played for a very affordable price. It’s great exercise and perfect for beginners, juniors and golfers of all skill levels.
